Master Class: Hamstring Health

Sun, July 25

This class will combine elements of flow, yin and restorative yoga with pranayama and meditation. Beginning with a brief explanation of how the nervous system is impacted by various forms of movement and thought patterns, we will work through a vinyasa sequence that builds heat and coordination, then cool down with floor based postures, relaxation methods and a long savasana. Perfect for the warmest days of summer, this practice will leave you with an increased sense of quietude and ease along with a fully restored nervous system.

Master Classes

Wed: July 14 & Aug 11

Master classes are intended for the curious and dedicated student and will approach more complex postures and themes. Experience with backbends, inversions at the wall and basic pranayama is encouraged. Expect Ame's unique blend of vinyasa yoga and structural work aimed at creating clarity in asana and body mechanics, along with a side dish of humor. Though this class is not suitable for true beginners, yogis of all experience levels are welcome. With your consent, hands on adjustments will be offered during these classes.

Nervous System Reboot

Secular Spirituality

June 17 - Aug 19

This course explores secular forms of spirituality, such as meditation, communing with nature, crafting ritual, and creating sacred space. Through spiritual and philosophical readings, reflections, contemplation, and peer-to-peer sharing, students will learn to inquire after forms of deeper connection within themselves and with the world around them.

Structural Yoga

Sat: July 10 & 24; Aug 7 & 21

These classes aim to teach you about your body and how it relates to yoga poses. Inspired heavily by the work of BKS Iyengar, this class moves at a slower pace (but you may find yourself working harder than you ever have before!) With ample individualized instruction, Structural Yoga is your chance to work precisely on alignment, subtlety and a sense of attention.
