This workshop is for the yoga teachers out there who need a thorough reconnect with the point & purpose of asana. Why are we doing these poses? What do they actually teach the students? Through practice, lecture, partner work and skeletal study, we will review the baseline postures and what their primary and secondary actions are (read: the point) while also revisiting some fundamental human anatomy. Because anatomical asana ideas change frequently, we will also look at how things were once taught and how the study of biomechanics suggests we teach them a different way. Come as an investment in your own practice and your students.
